when my kiddies were younger, we used to have Silent Sunday once a month. After church-or before when we had the late afternoon shift!- we would each find a nice quiet place in the house...usually a bedroom or a quiet corner of the family room...and have Silent Sunday. It was an hour spent reading scriptures, writing in a journal, contemplating and meditating and yes, napping! the house was quiet and peaceful and we all felt refreshed after our "quiet time."
the kiddies have all flown the coop now, so we don't have Silent Sundays anymore. however, yesterday was almost there! the nfl playoffs are over, so there wasn't a football game on tv, and sweetie and i both found separate corners in the house to read and snooze in. my batteries felt recharged!
i'm thinking we might bring the Silent Sunday tradition!

Football is over after next week! Hooray for being able to do or watch something other than football!
