twp or not twp

have i mentioned that my family speaks to each other in movie lines?
we don't mess around with the famous lines...you know "frankly, my dear, i don't give a %&@#"- from "gone with the wind" or "et...phone home"-from, well...et!
no...we use obscure lines from movies that are not ever gonna show up on the afi's 100 best list of anything.
it's almost like a family code...
and we do it ALL the time.
we'll be at a family gathering...extended or consanguineal ("just us")...and suddenly someone will chime in with "these mashed potatoes are creamy" (from "while you were sleeping") and we're off and running!
other favorites are "what's he gonna do...nibble your bum?" (from "monty python and the holy grail"...oh and don't forget "your mother was a hamster and your father smelt of elderberries"!!)
my girls have been known to suddenly break into song...singing "take me back to the black hills" (from "calamity jane") for no apparent reason at all!
of course, there's wisdom in some of these movie quotes: "happy-smile. sad-frown. use the corresponding face with the corresponding emotion." (from "french kiss") so true, so true.
one of my favorites is from...uh-hum [throat clearing]..."the englishman who went up a hill and came down a mountain."...seriously...you must see this one! it's a wonderful little film!
anyway, there are two brothers in the film who are, well, slow/crazy/in-their-own-little-la-la-land. but they utter something profound..."we're not so twp as to NOT KNOW that we're twp." twp is welsh for crazy/slow/stupid. we're not so silly as to think we're NOT silly! how profound is that?! trust me...there are plenty of crazy people around who THINK they are not!
so i'm just wondering...when my kiddies and i start spouting off "we're gonna need a bigger boat" (from "jaws") and "ruth! ruth! baby ruth!" (from "the goonies") are we twp or not?
