Thank-A-Vet

Arlington National Cemetery
I started a tradition, years ago, which I'm proud to continue this Memorial Day weekend. On Memorial Day...or Veteran's Day...or whatever day I find one, I try to Thank A Vet.
Most of these men and women are proud to have served their country, in whatever way, shape or form. And they are ALWAYS grateful for a little thanks. I've shaken the hands of Veterans in museums, airports, convenience stores and even on board the USS Midway!
Too often we treat our soldiers like the clean-up crew...we need the job done, but we tend to "see through" and overlook the people who are doing the "messy work."
Start looking around for Vets to thank...it'll make your day!
