Sweetie is a "bandana" man. He has a drawer full of 'em! And he uses them...just not in a "farmer" way. None of this blowing his nose in a big red bandana. I haven't noticed him using them in a Scout way...no tourniquets or slings made from a neckerchief. He doesn't use 'em in a "cowboy" way either...I've never seen him with a scarf, tied dashingly around his neck, as he rides off into the sunset...in our SUV!
Nope...Sweetie wears them more in an "Andre Agassi" way...tied, hippy-style, around his forehead. Now, Sweetie is in no way, shape or form a tennis player OR a hippy. No...there's method to his "madness". See, when the big guy is doing yardwork...or helping neighbors do yardwork...or doing outside yard chores at family members houses...or cleaning the church...or exercising at the gym...his many-colored bandanas help keep the perspiration out of his eyes! A couple of years ago, we gave all the guys in the family their own personal bandanas, so they could be just like Sweetie...sweaty but hard working with perspiration free eyeballs!
And Sweetie has been doing alot of those perspiration-inducing jobs lately! That list above? Yup...that's pretty much what he's been doing the past couple of weeks. He's always mindful of ways that he can "give back" to others...and he's always willing to help out! You could say he's been helping so many people lately that he's a "sweaty Sweetie!" Which is one of the reasons why I love him...the helping part that is!
...and which probably explains why there's a big 'ol pile of bandanas in the laundry!
