Yes...we had a nice Christmas. Christmas Day itself is always mellow and chill because our family celebrates big time on Christmas Eve. We had "Beginnings and Endings" this year...a lunch of all appetizers and little desserts! The lemon mousse tarts were extra delicious...trust me!
This year the kiddies each got one of these...
a 2-liter pop bottle filled with goodies. It's a real "How Did They Do That?" head-scratcher how all those candy bars and toys get inside...but I'll tell ya the secret! You make a small (3-4") vertical slit where the label used to be. Stuff with candy, toys, notebooks, crayons, etc. and colorful paper shreds. Then print up a label and cover the slit. Supposedly these can be mailed!
Sweetie's brother sent us a bowl of candy bar mix...a fun idea! Everyone sat around and tried all the different combinations to see if they really tasted like Snickers (not so much) and Payday (heck, yes!)
