Dining out the end of the year

Sweetie has the time off between Christmas and New Years' so we're checking out some lunch places. My favorite place for Coke is closed for the week (they're painting!) so we're on a quest for good, sweet, syrupy Coke...still haven't found it...the only thing that has come close is a restaurant in Erie Pennsylvania and a gas station in Rock Springs Wyoming.
We had a "dining experience" today. In a little mountain town, about an hour from our house, we ate lunch at the Road Island Diner. A diner from Rhode Island that was moved out west...to the middle of nowhere...and restored. They're now serving diner breakfasts, lunches and dinners. And they were doing a good business for a Tuesday when we went. Good burgers and Philly cheese steak and so-so Coke. While the food was just OK, the diner was full of charm and 30's goodness...jukeboxes at each table and stools at the counter with a big green malt maker in the corner! Look for more restaurant reviews in the next family newsletter!
