I spent part of the day with Daughter #2 and Grandsons #2 and #3. We went to a local shopping village. Grandson #2 said it looked like a little town when we drove up. It's a cute place...with lots of little, old buildings that hold fun boutique-y shops.
At Christmas time, they have elves all over. They even have an Elf Hunt. When you find the 12 elves on the list you get a discounted cookie at the bakery...complete with Frosty the Snowman ring!
We started our Elf Hunt here...cute little Elf House, isn't it?
There was a Sneaky Elf with mistletoe.
We continued on and found Elves tangled in lights and Elves in Sleighs and even Elves watching TV.
We found an Elf you could sit by. See Grandson #3's finger? He's asking "what's that?" but not in the cute little toddler way...it was more in the way of "Mooommmmm....get me out of here!...what the heck is that scary thing?" Yes...all of these Elves were just really creepy in a very non-Yuletide way! (They were more along the lines of "things that hide in the closet"...there were even a few creepy ones sitting in trees, watching us with binoculars! I'll have nightmares for weeks!)
I figure that the purpose of these very disturbing creepy fellows is to make sure EVERYONE is on the Nice List!...who'd want to be on the Naughty List if these guys were around?!
