The Seat of our Emotions

Some people say that the seat of our emotions is our head. Some say it's our heart. Some even say that it's our hypothalamus! Oh please...they just like showing off that they know big words! But trust me on this...I KNOW where the real seat of our emotions is...it's in our stomachs!
Think about it...say you're in danger...or in love, and what does your brain do? Being that it's just a big grey computer in your head, it tries to logically explain stuff. "That car is going to hit you"..."He appears to be intelligent"...basic "2+2=4" stuff.
And your heart? Why the only thing it usually says is "lub dub, lub dub". The hypothalamus? Who knows? It probably regulates something...I don't know what.
Ah...but the tummy! Now there's an emotional creature. Danger? When Mr. Adrenaline kicks in and out of gear, your stomach is the first one to know about it. Love? Little butterflies fill your tummy instead of big bowls of ice cream! E Coli?...Mr. Stomach says "I'm outta here! This stuff's no good for me." Need something? Mr. Brain may rationalize that it's noon and you're nowhere near a taco stand but Mr. Stomach will shout "Feed me...FEED ME!" And the Big One? Worry! Why that's Mr. Tummy's speciality! His favorite word is "ACK!"...real or imagined, your gut lets you know that you're just a wee bit crazy!
But your stomach is also very, very intelligent. In some way it's connected to the Great Universe. I've found this to be true because when you need to make decisions...it's always best to "go with your gut!"
