yeah...i think you all know by now that i am NOT, by nature, a positive person. i prefer the term "reality based" of course, but i do tend to view the down side of things for the most part. but to add just a little twist to the whole "glass half empty, full of toxic waste" thing...i firmly believe that most people are basically good. really! people=good, "life experiences"=bad! go figure!
so while i may turn a blind, "look for the good" eye to evil, malicious people and write the bad they do off to the "unintentional" file, that's not to say that i don't take "life situations" and totally blow them out of proportion with worry and fear...two of my closest crazy mind buddies!
for example-i HATE turning on the main sprinkler valve every spring (i haven't done it yet this year!) because i'm sure that the thing is rusted (it does leak!) and it will break off, causing a major flood in my basement followed by thousands and thousands of plumbing/sprinkler repair bills....which will drain all our money and we will end up living in a box under the viaduct.
sweetie got laid off a few weeks ago, with an unsure prognosis of getting unemployment insurance because of the type of job he had. so we're living on savings which...wait, here comes my crazy mind buddy!...i'm sure will get wiped out by some identity thief, or won't last nearly as long as i think they will and we will lose our home and end up living in a box under the viaduct! (funny how every scenario ends up in that box under the freeway!)
i know that my refrigerator is just waiting to die on me...at the most inappropriate moment of course. but then, i'm convinced that all the major appliances in my house are out to get me. they're just waiting to all break down at the same time so...yup, we'll have to use all the money we have to fix and/or replace them and then we won't be able to afford to live...and we will be in that same dang box again!
i think i need a "pollyanna" injection!

You are going to have an ulcer Shawn! I hear boxes can be quite cozy...although I highly doubt you'll be living there. :)
Meg and I could design you a lovely boxed home. We just need to hit Wallpaper Warehouse for some samples. :)
Hang in there. Take a bath and maybe a Valium. :)
