it was sweetie's and my anniversary today...so we took a road trip!
and what a nice day to do it!
there was beautiful scenery, gorgeous weather,
serendipitous adventures and wonderful company...
each other!
After an In-N-Out burger, we drove up our first scenic byway of the day...gorgeous mountains, wild flowers and cool, cool air!
we had our share of "wild life" too...along with the cows and sheep and horses, we saw lots and lots of deer, plus a paraplegic ground squirrel and a hawk landing almost right in front of us to get dinner!
passing by sweeties old neck of the woods, we saw two mini-tornadoes! (look at the tornado coming out of the cloud!) cool! we had rain showers for most of the drive which made for a wonderful break from the heat we've had at home!
we had to try yet another bbq place! sweetie loved the brisket and says he'll be back!
and, i ask you...what's more serendipitous than a giant ball of plastic bottles...on top of a recycling center truck! i'm telling ya...anniversaries don't get better than this!
