My favorite saying is "Being a mother is like being pecked to death...by ducks!" I thought my "soccer mom" days of driving here and there were long gone but this week they've returned with a vengeance. Yes, my dear readers, I am once again in dun...dun...duh..."The Sandwich Zone". I have returned to the nightmare known as The Sandwich Generation...in between caring for my 90 year old mother and my twenty-something children. So it seems like every day I'm driving to my mom's to take care of her needs (post surgery) then picking children up or dropping them off, (post car wreck) or running to the store for any and all of the afore-mentioned family members. When will the madness end? When my head finally explodes? Give me a pharmaceutical vacation soon!
